  • Ownership officially transfers

  • Mortgage payoff is processed

  • Proceeds are disbursed

  • Keys are delivered per agreement

If you negotiated a leaseback, occupancy terms continue as outlined.

It’s also wise to:

  • Keep copies of your closing documents

  • Confirm mortgage payoff was received

  • Update mailing address

Closing is the finish line — but financial follow-through matters too.
