What Does Selling As-Is Mean in Texas?

In Texas, selling “as-is” means the seller is offering the property in its current condition and does not intend to make repairs.

It does not mean:

  • You can skip disclosures

  • Buyers can’t inspect

  • Buyers can’t negotiate

Buyers still have the right to conduct inspections and may request price adjustments or concessions.

“As-is” primarily communicates your repair posture — not a waiver of legal obligations.

Pricing must reflect condition accurately to avoid extended time on market.
